This is a third edition by Walter J. Sykes published in 1907. It’s in amazing condition given that it’s over 110 years old, it does show some expected signs of age but appears to be complete and damage free; no ripped pages.
It’s a very rare book now, there’s currently a tatty and ripped one on Ebay with starting bids at £50, and we haven’t seen many for sale at all. It really wants to be with somebody who knows how to preserve it properly.
The work is now considered to be culturally important and a copy is held by the Smithsonian library in the US. They make a PDF freely available, the book being out of copyright now, and if you want the content then that is a better bet.
There are also copies available which have been printed by Sagwan Press over the last couple of years so it is available ‘new’, but if you want the real thing then this one right here is one of very few left outside of museums and university libraries.
Again, a book that we would much prefer the buyer to collect.
